Occupational Therapy

Today in Clinical Day 9!

I am shadowing an Occupational Therapist at Prisma! His name was Ashley and he did a wonderful job with each of his patients. Something that really struck out about him was his passion for what he does and the relationship that he forms with each patient. He had seen one of his patients for months now, and he was explaining to me the progress that this patient had made. I could see the excitement in Ashley's eyes when he told me of the progress and how far his patient had come. While Ashely was explaining the progress, his patient was smiling from the praise that was being given to him. I loved the relationship that I witnessed and hope to be that type of OT one day.

Our day was cut short today so I was only able to see two patients.
