Crash course

Today we had a crash course in medicine. It exposed us to different opportunities in the healthcare field. It was really awesome to learn about and act out with our peers. We also had an Emergency Pediatric tell us about her career. It is much more difficult handling kids than adults. However, she has a passion for what she does so she loves it. It can be a very stressful and traumatic job to handle every day though. She told us that if we do choose that career, we have to be strong because she comes across many heartbreaking cases. However, at the end of the day she is helping the children- not hurting them. That's all that matters.
